i finally gave up on my old weblog and jumped on the tabulas bandwagon.

it looks like epinoy.com's finally gone down for the count. after several days of checking on my blog, i decided to put one up with tabulas.com

epinoy was the brainchild of fellow PinoyPc.net fanatic, ferdz. but i guess, the work and cost of keeping a free webhost service for filipinos everywhere took a toll on our dear friend.

i only have fond memories of my old webhost. it allowed me to finally tinker with php files like bloggers and online albums. my only regret is that it took my 100 posts and rantings with it.

but i guess, this is good. this is a new beginning for me. may i only see a brighter future ahead.

hmmm. looks like tabulas is a breeze to customize. all you needed to know is some basic html, and a bit of cascading style sheets (CSS) especially the div option.

if you know the div option, all you need to do is use z-index with a particular section and you can make it jump all over the place.

the background, i again got from deviantart.com. it's probably the best source for alternative art. i simply love that site.

and yes, that is a teddy bear with a knife in its chest.

guess what? i got nothing to do the entire day.

so what does an uber-talented guy like me do on a spare time in front of a pc? (humor me pls)  

tons actually. but ive been itching  to do some vector art (digital art using your favorite vector software) these past few weeks, so i launched my cheap but free image editor, twisted my head from left to right, straining to see if a manager's around, and fiddled and fondled with my mouse to make me a wallpaper (it doesnt sound as explicit as youd thunk).

in the wallpaper, there's a guy on the right. i took it from an actual photograph from deviantart.com and cartoonized it (what we suave technoartists call vectoring). i then slapped it on a greyish-blue background with some spattering of whites and hues to represent rain.

so that's supposed to be me, underneath raindrops, getting drenched, with a freaking migraine.

or it could be me straining my poor brain cells to come up with something cool to describe what it's supposed to be.

then slap my blog title in there, along with a 10-second-created poem. (yes yes. im talented i know)

oh well. so there, my very own customized skin and template. pretty nice. too bad tabulas free accounts only lets the user keep 1 customized template. hmmm. maybe i could offer my services for a fee  kidding

honorary woman. that's what Raul Roco's supporters dubbed him with for espousing women's rights as a Senator. but he's more of a man than most of the politicians we'll ever have.

he was not your traditional politician or "trapo". he was an educator, through and through. he fought for the youth and their right to education, helping in drafting the Study Now, Pay Later law. he endured to enlighten the Filipinos to choose morally sound leaders.

as he passed away, we learn the importance of having morality in government. a government without conscience is a corrupt one. and now, we are reaping what we have sown. as we chose popularity and charisma over the right choice, we again have missed our chance for our chidlren's future.

as we pray for Raul Roco's soul, i hope that future leaders, students who have benefited from his legacy, to follow in his footsteps, and give us the hope we're all longing for. God bless his soul.

cripes, im so busy.

im currently investigating a production problem called in by my boss. so im writing a quick program to help figure things out. im so harrassed.

at the same time, im rewriting the website for a friend of mine. im not saying which because it's personal and im not gonna tell.

so while doing analyst work, im also developing the site for my friend. no way i can deny that im a programmer now.

oh and im writing an online blog too when im supposed to be extremely busy with work.  well, that's what we IT people call 'multi-tasking'.
